Ten Stories Up, There's a New Cooling Tower in Providence

June, 2006

Just before the start of the cooling season, the Dimeo project management staff replaced the cooling tower at Beneficent House, a 180 unit apartment property in Providence, RI.

A pair of older 250 ton cooling towers had to be removed from the top of this ten story building to make way for a new 275 ton Evapco unit. The project team included Wilkinson Associates, NextGen Mechanical, Yankee Fiber, American Electric, Coyne Mechanical and Imperatore Crane and Rigging. The total project cost was approximately $80,000 or slightly less than $450 per apartment unit.
